From the list of four short stories below, each member of your table needs to choose a story. Each needs to read a different story from the others at the table. If one of these stories is one you have read before, then you need to select a different one. After reading, answer the questions below:
1. Why did you select the story you selected? 2. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, where would you rate your story and explain why. 3. If you were to try to tell someone else about this story, what would you tell him/her? (Don't just say, "It was good" or "It was awful". Provide a few details, but don't give away the whole story or the ending. 4. What is the best thing about your story? 5. What did you not understand about your story? (What confused you?) 6. If you could talk to the author, what is one thing you would tell him or her?
Finally, working with one of the other people at your table, find two things your stories had in common, two things that were different, and make a Venn diagram showing this.
